Happy 8 month birthday!

Julia is 8 months! Unofficially she is 21 pounds and 28 inches. I'm pretty sure the 28 is going to turn out to be wrong, but that's what I got when I tried to hold her still and measure... Besides all the crawling and exploring, she is learning to express her likes and dislikes more and more. When she's happy, she claps her hands and her feet and flaps her arms. She smiles and giggles and squeals. When she's not happy (like when you make her put down leo the lion or harry elephante in order to eat) she whines and pouts. She's also started resisting going into the stroller, car seat, high chair by stiffening her legs and arching her back. She's a good eater and is sleeping good at night, although we've had some early mornings lately. I haven't figured out her nap schedule quite yet - still seems to need 3 per day for an hour or two at a time. I think she is getting top teeth because she is drooling a lot and making this very funny old man face were she pulls her top lip under.

daddy as pedro, the mexican hedgehog, teaching her spanish and making her laugh. (on the flip side, she does not like mommy as pedro - that is not funny at all!)
