Happy 19 month birthday

Julia is 19 months old.


She loves to help. She helps carry daddy's bag to the bedroom when he gets home from work, starts and unloads the dishwasher, puts laundry into the washing machine and dryer, wipes up spills and sweeps.

She has moved on from loving to sit in her small chair to wanting to be in the big green arm chair. She loves books and rhyming words. A favorite book right now is Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can you?

She loves the water. She doesn't like water to splash on her head, so the splash parks have not been her favorite (neither is getting her hair washed). She started swim lessons last week and did really well. She says "pool" and "swim suit".

She does NOT love vegetables. Our once super-eater has given up on broccoli, green beans, peas and carrots. She is still a good eater, just pickier! Some random things she especially likes to eat are sweet pickles and olives.


She is saying two words together (bye-bye toes, mama shirt, read book, baby doll) and has started saying her name and referring to herself (julia in!). She's getting better about saying "please."

She is particular about her routines and likes to show us how much she knows and can do herself. She's so sweet and loves to sit in our laps and read books. And she gives the best "smooches."
