Happy Valentine's Day and 15 month Birthday
Valentine's Day was just before Julia's 15 month birthday. Here she is in her special Valentine's Day dress (thanks Papa!) with one of her favorite things - a "buh-buh" (balloon).

At fifteen months, Julia weighs 25 pounds and is about 30 inches tall. She has mastered a bunch of action noises - bam, pat, boom, bang, tap, pop. She knocks, stomps, tries to jump, flaps her "wings", dances by shaking her right hand from the wrist and pats her belly, her head and her knees. She can identify her eyes, ears, mouth, nose, hair (and hair bow), hands, toes, knees, belly button.
Her favorite song is from our music class and is called "I've Got the Rhythm in My Head." Julia knows it as "hot dog" which is repeated several times in each verse. She actually asks for the song by saying "hot dog" and then claps and giggles when we play it.
She is starting to use her imagination more. She recently put Pedro the Spanish hedgehog in her high chair and fed him. She also claps Dolly's hands together for pat-a-cake. She likes to put a blanket down on the floor with a couple pillows and use it as her "base." She'll sit on it, take other toys to it and flip through books there.
And you know she's got to be doing something a little crazy so here it is... She occasionally puts her forehead to the floor, bottom in the air and pushes herself along. Not sure what that's about, but it usually ends with us helping her do a somersault. Woo hoo!
Julia is also one tough little girl. Last week she went to the doctor and we found out she had an ear infection in BOTH ears and pink eye. Poor little bit. She was still eating and sleeping well and playing, so it was hard to know something was wrong. Even the doctor commented on how tough she is!
New words this month: oh no, more, help please (which sounds like heb-be), supper, puppy, hippo, bubble, tie, ah-ha
