Happy 20 month Birthday!

At 20 months, Julia...

• has picked up phrases like "alrighty" and "oh my goodness"
• has moved out of the high chair and into a booster chair
• counts to 5
• is learning her alphabet and is especially fond of the letters "m", "d", "j", "h", "g" and "p"
• has started pretend play - cooking, cleaning, picking up dropped food and taking it to the sink, having a tea party, giving dolls (and toys) clean diapers and new clothes
  
• loves the water and totally impressed mommy at her swim lessons by being so brave and following directions
• loves "ring around the rosies", "if you're happy and you know it", sheepy, cow and E-O (aka old macdonald, as in E-I-E-I-O)
• thinks bodily functions (burps, toots, coughs, sneezes) are hysterical!
• repeats just about everything she hears us say - and if we say not to do something, it's a sure bet she will!
• has started resisting bed time and bath time - we are trying to take back control, cutting out things like having to brush sheepy's teeth!
