School Days!

Julia's first day of school was Tuesday, September 7. Unfortunately, she couldn't go because she was getting over a cold. But she did go on Thursday and was SO excited to get there. When we got to the door she said "in, in." Mommy said OK, handed her off and headed out. I think it helped that Sheepie got to go to school too.


Pick up was a different story - one with some tears. And drop off the next week was tough - again, some tears. The teachers have assured me they are short lived though. Here she is having fun on the playground. They said she especially likes the slide.

This week, Julia did her first official art work. A beautiful painting! She's very proud.

Thursday was "bring your Teddy Bear to school day," so we sent Rug instead of Sheepie. I was a little nervous Rug would not be as good of company as Sheepie, but everything went fine. And when I came to pick Julia up, she was playing with some toys (and not in the teacher's arms). Our little bit actually took time to clean up her toys before running over to see Mommy. And today she told me "Mommy alway come back" which melted my heart. I think school is going to be a success!
